Real rows, lightly trimmed. These six permits were issued by the City of Austin the week of Oct 12, 2026. The scope text is shortened for this page; your sheet has the full description. See a full weekly sheet.

Phones masked on this page only. Your sheet shows the contractor’s full business phone exactly as printed on the permit.

02  What’s in a row

Eight fields. All from the permit. Nothing guessed.

Each row is one issued permit, cleaned up so you can sort, filter and work it in a minute. Here is the first row of the excerpt above, field by field.

1

Issue date

The day the city issued the permit. Rows are sorted newest first, so the freshest jobs sit at the top of your sheet.

2

Property address & ZIP

Where the work is happening. ZIP gets its own column so you can filter to the parts of town you actually serve.

3

Scope of work

The project description from the permit, cleaned of permit-office shorthand. This is how you tell a kitchen gut from a deck repair.

4

Square footage

When the permit records it. Useful for sizing a flooring, insulation or drywall quote before you ever call.

5

Est. job value

Included when the city lists a valuation. Blank is blank: we never estimate or fill it in for you.

6

Contractor of record

The company that pulled the permit, plus its trade. Often the general contractor who is choosing subs and suppliers right now.

7

Contractor business phone

The business number printed on the permit. We don’t look up homeowners or append personal data.

8

Permit # and city link

Every row links to the official city record, so you can check details, inspections and status yourself.

03  Trade filters

One list per trade, so you only see jobs you can sell into.

Pick the filter that matches your work. Each one is tuned to the permit types and keywords that signal a real opportunity for that trade.

04  Metros

Austin is live. Chicago and Seattle are next.

We only sell a metro once its city publishes permit data we trust week after week. Each city’s feed is a little different, and we say so.

05  Where the data comes from

Public permit records. No personal-data digging.

Building permits are public records that cities publish as open data. We collect, filter and clean them. That’s the whole job, and we keep it that way on purpose.

  • We do

Pull newly issued permits straight from the city’s open-data portal for your metro.

  • We do

Filter to your trade and clean up addresses, scope text and contractor names so the sheet is easy to work.

  • We do

Link every row to the official city record, so anything in the sheet can be checked at the source.

  • We don’t

Look up homeowners, their phone numbers or emails, or enrich rows with personal data from anywhere else.

  • We don’t

Do your outreach. You contact contractors and properties yourself, under the calling and solicitation rules that apply to you.

07  Questions

The fine print, up front.

Where does the data come from?

From each city’s official open-data portal, which publishes issued building permits as public records. We filter them to your trade, clean them up and add a link back to the city’s record for every row.

Do you include homeowner names or phone numbers?

No. You get the property address and the contractor of record from the permit, with the contractor’s business phone when it’s printed there. We don’t look up homeowners or add personal data from other sources.

Why is the job value blank on some rows?

Because the city didn’t list one. Some cities record a valuation on most permits; Austin often doesn’t. We show what the permit says and never fill gaps with estimates.

The name says daily. Why is it weekly?

Cities issue permits every day. We collect the whole week, filter and clean it, and send one tidy list on Monday so you can plan the week’s outreach in one sitting.

Can I use the list for calls and emails?

Yes, it’s your list to work. You’re responsible for following the rules that apply to your outreach, such as the TCPA, Do Not Call registries and local solicitation rules. Each sheet includes a short reminder.

How do I cancel?

Reply “cancel” to any Monday email or write to hello@dailypermitlist.com. No forms, no phone calls, no cancellation fee.
